01 - MANAUS / AMAZON LODGE |
|
|
|
Pick-up at 13h30 and transfer to the
Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge. Check-in/ welcome drink
after which guests will be shown to the room. .
|
Following visit to the Monkey Jungle. Dinner and evening
tour by canoe for Alligator Spotting.

DAY 02 - AMAZON
LODGE
Breakfast followed by a Nature Hike. Lunch. |

After a short rest, visit the home
of local Amazonian residents ("natives") with an opportunity
for fishing.
|
This tour shows two
distinct aspects of Salvador, the new and the old, concentrating
on the early expansion of the city and is a very good
orientation for those wishing to further explore the city.
The lower city tour takes us to the quiet waters of the
Itapagipe Peninsula where the first holiday residences
were built. Now a peaceful family district , life moves
at a slower pace than the bustling upper city. Fishermen
fish from dug out canoes, locals collect shell fish at
low tide, schooners are at anchor, all protected by the
famous Bonfim church, one of the most important churches
of pilgrimage in Brazil and deeply syncretised with the
Candomblé. (visit). We continue to the Monserrat district
with it's panoramic view of the city and on to the Mercado
Modelo, a thriving market for local artefacts. It's time
to bargain ! Please note that the Church of Bonfim is
closed on Mondays.

DAY 03 - AMAZON LODGE / MANAUS
Breakfast, check-out at 08h30 followed by full day tour to the
Meeting of the Waters including lunch. |

Optional canoe ride(*) with an opportunity for Piranha
